The position is a full time position and will report to the General Manager. This key individual will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the Clubs ground facilities including, but not limited to a Cricket Outfield, Turf Cricket Wickets, Lawn Bowling Greens and gardens. The key individual shall have at his/her disposal the Club’s staff to assist in the implementation of the work on a daily basis.

Requirements

• A formal qualification in Turf Management or a related subject from a recognized University
• Experience in both cool and warm season grasses
• —A seven-year proven track record of successful turf preparation and maintenance covering both turf wickets and Lawn Bowling Greens, preferably to first class match standards
• A proven record of management of sports grounds including staff, plant and machinery maintenance, and producing successful turf surfaces in the required timeframes is essential
• —Ability to develop maintenance schedules to meet Club expectations
• —Excellent written and oral communication skills
• —Computer literacy in Microsoft applications - Word/Excel/Powerpoint
• —Ability to be flexible to adapt to the local environment
• —Demonstrated ability to work well with people
