Job Descriptions:

• Draft, review, advise and negotiate on all general commercial contracts and agreements.
• Provide timely and professional legal advice to the board and management on the businesses, operations, and investment activities from the legal and compliance perspectives
• Liaises with external counsel, regulatory and statutory bodies and manage hoc legal matters as required for the business
• Liaise with external counsel, regulatory and statutory bodies (i.e. SFC, HKEx, HKMA, PIBA etc.) on a wide range of legal issues including litigations and dispute resolution
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies and guidelines
• Manage ad hoc legal matters as required for the business

Requirements:

• Graduated in law, no lawyer qualification required;
• 8 years of in-house legal experience in financial institution, preferably at least 1 of which was gained from working with a Hong Kong listed company
• Minimum 3 years corporate and M&A legal experience in a law firm or a legal department
• Extensive knowledge of commercial laws, especially listing rules, Stock Exchange and SFO requirements
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin
