We will deliver a product and experience to our users that amazes and inspires devotion, passion, and trust.

-          Includes but not limited to:

  1.        Product design (existing product):
    1.        Review existing product design and assess for opportunities for improvement in terms of aesthetic design and/or usability/ergonomics of helmet and/or remote.
    2.       Packaging design
  2.       Product design (future products):
    1.        Ideas for future products are in the following directions:

                                                              i.      Lumos V2 featuring connectivity to phone. Specific ideas include offering automatic crash detection, navigation assistance, activity tracking, and integrated forward and back facing video cameras.

ii.      Lumos V1, but in new snazzier styles (eg. Hard shell commuter style)

                                                          iii.      Lumos for kids

iv.      Low cost version of Lumos (eg. Just featuring lights, but at a lower price point)

                                                             v.      Retrofit version of Lumos (Lights + turn signal features but in a configuration that would be easy to fit over any existing helmet)

  1.       Determining which problems/solutions resonate most with our users. Which concept(s) should we prioritize from a user needs point of view? User research, need finding, and design thinking required to help inform our product roadmap/go-to-market strategy.
  2.        Concept generation and prototyping
  3.       Concept testing and validation with users
  4.       Industrial design and refinement of external look and feel of final hardware designs
  5.         UI/UX + front end design of software applications

Requirement:

-          3 – 5 years or more of product/industrial design experience for hardware and software products.

-          Excellent sense of aesthetic design.

-          Creative. Able to generate volume of forms and concepts in sketch form in various directions to effectively explore the space of opportunity.

-          Competent sketcher and communicator of ideas and concepts on paper or other tangible mediums.

-          Resourceful, formidable, and dependable. You think about and solve problems creatively, and we can count on you to figure things out and get things done with minimal handholding.

-          Disciplined, independent, self-driven and results driven.

-          Highly detail oriented and a pusher for perfectionism. You want to get every detail of the product right, and will not be happy if you think we could have shipped a better product.

-          Works well under conditions of uncertainty. Adaptable and capable of creative problem solving, and formidable and determined enough to figure it out and make it work.

-          Passion for and existing activity with the cycling community a huge plus.
