Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager is overall responsible for the Product definition and realization; from Project Kick-Off untill Mass Production Release in terms of Product Quality, Cost and Delivery Time.
  • The Project Manager leads the Project Team, consisting of the following members: Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Purchasing, Industrialization and Quality; Weekly Project Review meetings are held and progress reporting is done weekly.
  • The Project Manager prepares the Project Budget, Schedule, Product Specification and organizes the formal Project Milestone Review meetings. The Project Manager ensures for each Milestone Review meeting, that the Milestone checklist and required Deliverables are available.
  • The Project Manager drives actively with the team members to meet the Committed Project Deliverables in terms Quality, Cost and Time-to-Market. He / She actively uses risk management tools and learnings from previous projects to reach the Project Goals in a dynamic business environment.
  • The Project Manager is the technical contact window to the customer in the project phase and also in the maintenance phase of the project. Field complaints are managed by the Project Manager as top level owner, supported by R&D team and Industrial Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • University graduate. Preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 7 years working experience as Overall Project Manager / Program manager dealing with consumer electronics products, preferably mobile phones and / or related accessoiries.
  • Proven experience in bringing reliable consumer electronic products to market; trained in solid design principles and project management techniques.
  • Proven track record for delivering on project commitment for innovative consumer electronics products in a competitive business environment.
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
  • High energy individual, with can-do attitude, who is able to lead our project teams to achieve the key project objectives (quality, timing, cost).
  • Experienced in communicating effectively to Senior Management, colleagues, customers and suppliers.
