Responsibilities:

• Work on cross-functional strategic projects, lead projects and support the articulation of the strategy
• Support the execution of the strategy, by defining, cascading and at times leading operational plans and strategic initiatives
• Produce robust and high-quality analysis and recommendations including but not limited to:
• Evaluation of market trends and opportunities
• Analysis and benchmarking of company’s performance against peers
• Identification of strategies and management actions to improve performance
• Support on internal and external communications relating to the strategy
• Create and maintain a risk management environment that ensures risks taken by the function are identified, assessed and frequently monitored, managed and reported against
• Ensure key risks have been identified, measured, monitored, managed and reported

Requirements:

• Business degree, MBA and/or CFA strongly recommended
• Professional qualification in accounting, actuarial, investment analysis or business administration desirable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of strategy and planning/finance/cross functional projects in insurance company or leading consultancy firm,
• Strong insurance and financial services industry knowledge with sound understanding of Life Insurance, retail investment and regulatory regime
• Able to interpret financial statements and management accounts
• Strong leadership and good team player, excellent presentation and communications skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheet & MS Office software application
• Excellent English & Chinese speaking and writing skills
