Marketing Assistant  (5 months contract)

The Team

The Corporate Marketing team is responsible for helping grow the Dow Jones brand globally. We support the businesses by delivering dynamic marketing campaigns that engage customers, win prospects, and strengthen the core brand. The marketing team acts as a full-service in-house agency and will work on various projects across the product portfolio – Factiva, Dow Jones Newswires, Dow Jones Risk and Compliance. Our mission is to help meet business goals by being creative, innovative and incredibly nimble.

The Role

This role supports the Dow Jones Corporate Marketing team in Hong Kong and is focused on Dow Jones institutional brands in Asia Pacific. The brand team is a part of a global marketing team and this position is ideal for a creative and energetic candidate who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, is resourceful and eager to learn more about strategic marketing and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Support the Corporate Marketing team, including administrative duties and events
• Assist execution of ad-hoc project requests from Professional Information Business Sales and Events teams with tasks such as local language adaption and creative re-sizes.
• Coordinate and lead the collateral translation process from beginning to end, including liaising with translations agencies to working with internals teams to review/proofread/approve all translations.
• Monitor and research on marketing trends in industry and report competitive news
• Manage collateral production for events, premium production and inventory
• Develop professional working relationships with all internal stakeholders and external vendors

Requirements

• A university graduate with a couple of months of working/internship experience with corporates and/or events
• Recent Graduates will be considered
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
• Knowledge of other Asian languages will be an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• A creative and energetic mind, entrepreneurial spirit, able to work independently and proactively.
