We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join our Hardlines team. This candidate is responsible for proposing potential business deals and maintaining good relationship with existing customers.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers
• Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities through channels like formal communication with current supply base, getting on the back of other production runs, build relationships with job lot deal companies or manufacturing associations for provinces, cold calling, trade fairs, newspaper adverts etc
• Screens potential business deals by analysing market prices (Local and in region), deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options and resolving internal priorities
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations and hand each deal over to the relevant production team
• Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in relevant disciplines
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in a sourcing, trading or manufacturing environment with knowledge of related product categories and technical requirements
• Possess experience in sales planning
• Excellent deal closing and prospecting skills with motivation for sales
• Strong market knowledge and territory management
• Be energetic and outcome driven
• Good presentation skills and proficiency in written & spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Frequent travel is required
