The Temporary Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Product Manager to manage commercial / sales and marketing functions in respect of the Latin America & Caribbean.

Responsibilities:

* To assist the Product Manager in dealing on weekly basis, like, maintain and guarantee full vessels; ensure the highest profitability by selecting the best paying cargo in volatile market conditions; and report to Line management in a consolidated way to discuss the further actions that need to be taken

* To decide the global commercial strategy of the line at short/middle/long term for the assigned scope and identify VIPs for respective countries to the service Asia

* To communicate the commercial directions to the network and ensure correct application

* To maintain and analyze Commercial database to keep the most accurate vision of the vessel profile

* To drive the sales force and follow directly the implementation of the sales strategy at both origins and destinations to achieve the set commercial targets for each office;

* Focus on customer relationship development, establishment and improvement;

* Be active and dare to take responsibility for any commercial and contract negotiations

* Coordinate with operations and Cargo Flow Teams to ensure the best service to customers

* Any other assigned task from Product Manager / Line Management

Requirements:

* University graduate in Logistics or related disciplines

* 5 years sales experience in shipping/transport industry

* Good business acumen, assertive

* Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin; good management and communication skill; team builder

* Overtime is required
