Our client is a renowned local bank. To support its rapid business expansion in Asia, they are looking to recruit a Database Administrator in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Provide database management and support
• Perform server administration, monitoring & tuning server performance, patch & software upgrade, problem troubleshooting & support, and script development in Oracle and SQL Server environment
• Work closely with system teams on system software upgrade and support, including software like OS and file system upgrade, and hardware like SAN and VMware migration
• Ensure successful delivery of solution to technical and business expectations, including high availability, business continuity planning, efficient code usage, etc.
• Provide support to application teams on administrative requests, HA, DR, backup/recovery and SQL performance analysis
• Ensure successful deployment of installations/upgrades
• Define and enforce database technology best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
• Working with a large number of servers in a global environment
• Must: 3 years relevant DBA experience (Oracle 11g RAC in Unix and SQL Server in Windows environments), preferably in banking and financial industry
• Solid and hands-on experience with performance tuning, patch / software installation & upgrade, troubleshooting and shell scripting in Unix
• Knowledge in Perl and PowerShell scripting is a distinct advantage
• Certification in OCP in latest 11g or above version is preferred
• Fluent in spoken and written Cantonese and English is a must
