Our client is a leading consumer brand with business across the globe. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Engineer to join its regional sourcing team in Hong Kong.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing of both components and finished goods for gifts and premium category. You will manage product development projects with a primary focus on metal items. You will ensure the technical construction, chemical composition and quality of merchandise are up to standard. You will collaborate closely with Design, Technical, Quality and Product Development teams for product enhancement and pricing. In addition, you will monitor vendor performance and conduct initial audit for new factories.

Successful candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other related disciplines
• At least 6 years of sourcing and development experience in gifts and premium/ home décor merchandise; and with strong technical knowledge on metal
• Candidates with manufacturing exposure will be a definite advantage
• Dynamic, pro-active and resourceful
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; with ability to work under fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
