Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage Transformation projects within a governance framework to meet three principles: adhering to timeframes, quality and costs as set by the plan
- Create and maintain a risk management environment that ensures risks taken by the function are identified, assessed and frequently monitored, managed and reported against
- Escalate issues to superiors without delay and develop solutions to resolve project management issues or mitigate negative impacts
- Monitor and control project progress to prevent potential risks and losses
- Pre-empt measures and be responsible for updating and maintaining the risk log
- Monitor and control project progress to ensure cost tracking and benefit tracking are managed within the project scope and required objectives
- Manage stakeholders and work closely with project team members to ensure timely and quality deliverables
- Manage and lead all activities in the project to ensure the deliverables are aligned with the business objectives, project targets and are in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support the department head to conduct concept studies and feasibility studies for business cases
- Research and analysis on market developments / trends, new technologies and sales development in the industry, for the purpose of preparing information and data necessary to support relevant business cases / studies
- Responsible for promoting an environment where a risk management culture can flourish
- Ensure key risks have been identified, measured, monitored, managed and reported
- Ensure appropriate levels of risk skills and experience within the team to support consistent risk management practices.
Requirements:
- Degree holder, PMP qualification is an advantage
- Minimum 6 years of working experience with at least 4 years in project management, preferably in insurance or financial service industry
- Sound insurance and financial services industry knowledge and broad understanding of the regulatory regime
- Strong leadership and good team player, excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines
- Strong presentation and communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills and strong analytical skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts and escalate issues in a timeliness manner
- Proficiency in spreadsheet & MS Office software application
- Excellent English & Chinese speaking and writing skills
