Summary of the Position

Responsible for product develop and project delivery for international markets. Review technical standards on products and process develop suppliers to fulfill relevant standards. Ensure product meeting specification, regulatory compliance and quality standard and project are delivered within agreed timeline.

Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities

• Ensure all safety, legislative and technical requirements are fully understood by key stakeholders during product development and prior to production
• Review and Interpret technical standards, develop process to ensure effective deployment of relevant standard
• Assess and review supplier’s capability in meeting relevant technical standard. Manage and review supplier’s performance
• Carry out product assessment(i.e. testing) and verify compliance of products and associated documentations as per regulatory and corporate requirements
• Ensure projects are delivered adhering to milestone/critical path
• Monitor production and shipment quality and manage post delivery quality issue
• Manage supplier and delivery performance.
• Participate product risk assessment, communicate quality risk/issue act as part of product quality continuous improvement plan
  
  
  

Key Position Requirements

• Minimum 5 years working experience in technical areas i.e. quality control/quality assurance or manufacturing preferably in health and beauty industry. Candidate with less experience may be considered as Technologist
• Excellent attention to details, able to cope with multi-tasks in a pressurized environment
• Ability to communicate with people at different levels
• Strong organizational, planning and negotiation skills

• WBA QESD UK technical advisors, WBA Asia Buying Team, cosmetic suppliers, 3rd party testing service provider
  
  
  

Education and Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry/Chemical Technology/ Science
• Proven Microsoft Office skills, including analysis and the understanding of statistical principles
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in both English and Chinese
  
  
  

Job Experience

• Research development or quality assurance knowledge
• Previous exposure to formulation development and appreciation of technical standard and regulatory requirement in cosmetic is preferred
• Manufacturing experience
  
  
  

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge on quality assurance, technical standards
• Knowledge of international regulation on formulation would be preferred but not essential
• Ability to analyze issue and propose solutions
• Good communication and influencing skills
