We are looking for 2 Product Technologists to join our Quality Hardlines team. The 2 candidates are responsible for quality and performance review for one of the two product categories respectively (1) Furniture and (2) Homeware & Nursery.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure Product quality and performance consistency across different suppliers for all products
• Conduct factory visit and evaluation to identify factory capability. Ensure proper quality assurance process is implemented and work out with follow up improvement plan with factory
• Investigate the root cause in quality failures by inline or pilot inspection with factories. and offer assistance for the determination and implementation of corrective action plan
• Carry out risk assessment to identify high risk products during development stage and ensure product quality approval before confirming orders
• Obtain and verify detail materials and production information throughout the production process from suppliers
• Conduct technical review and approval on Hardlines product
• Review and make approval on 3rd party lab test reports
• Participate in weekly meeting with stakeholders to provide updates of on-going issues and take the lead for the induction meeting with new suppliers

Requirement

• Higher Diploma or above in appropriate technical discipline
• At least 3 years previous experience in either a European accredited testing lab or associated QA role in buying office
• Profound technical experience in the following product category: Furniture/ Homeware/ Nursery
• Good knowledge of Australia safety standards and Australia directives for the above mentioned product groups
• Experience in quality factory audits or production supervision will be an advantage
• Knowledge in EU chemical requirements like Reach and LFGB will be an advantage
• High social competence in collaborating with superiors, colleagues and external service providers and manufacturer
• Able to work in cross-cultural environment
• Able to work independently and self-driven
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
• Strong interpersonal / communication skill and be a good team player
• Flexible for extended travels and working hour
