Job Description

The Regional Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, leading, implementing and monitoring Christie’s social media strategy in Asia, especially China. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong social media background with solid experiences in managing, engaging and expanding the companies' online and social communities. This position will work closely with various stakeholders in the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the companies' social media strategies in Asia, aligned with Christie’s global social media directive and the specific needs of Asia markets.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Christie’s social media platforms including Wechat (prime focus), Weibo, Youku and Tencent Video etc.
  • Work closely with Christie’s Content Editor in Asia and liaise with external graphic artists, video editors or producers (if necessary) to drive, create and manage engaging social media content and ensure those information is up-to-date and relevant to our target audiences
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR and different business units to ensure the consistency and accuracy of messages across all the social media channels and to align with Christie’s marketing/sale cycles
  • Lead and implement social media campaigns to engage existing and acquire new followers.
  • Monitor, review and report on the performance of social media platforms and develop a dashboard for regular reporting
  • Keep optimizing Christie’s social media platform performance and generate innovative ideas to help drive the social media presence and interaction going forward.
  • Keep updated with the digital and social media trends, share the knowledge with the team and adopt it as Christie’s best practice.
  • Develop partnerships with bloggers and social media key influencers in order to increase brand awareness and generate content and buzz for Christie’s social media channels.

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in marketing, communications or web / digital media management
  • A minimum of six years’ solid experience in social media marketing including the creation of content and strategies.
  • A strong and confident communicator who is able to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of people
  • An agency background focusing on social media marketing and account management is a plus
  • A brand marketing background with China market experience is definitely an asset
  • Strong project management and presentation skill
  • Strong analytical skill.
  • Passionate for social media and digital field 
  • Literacy in English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese are mandatory. Native Mandarin and Fluent English are preferred.
