Job Description

Purpose & general responsibilities of the position

  • Act as key supporting function to Premier Sales Assistant Manager, Manager and Premier Sales Head to develop/ execute business in all service modes and products available within the Damco & Maersk Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotation to customer

  • Provides professional product & pricing information by clarifying customer request; selecting appropriate solution; forwarding information; answering question

  • To engage with the customer on an ongoing basis to ensure successful relationship maintenance

  • To identify new opportunities through ongoing customer dialogue

  • Responsible for maintaining frequent phone/email communication, managing contract to container delivery logistics

  • In case there is no Inside Sales, responsible for managing and growing existing, smaller accounts

  • Response and follow up sales inquiries and leads using appropriate methods

  • Assist Sales Manager in managing account plan and customer activities

  • Provide full circle support to Sales Manager on all affairs within their duties

  • Resolves discrepancies internally across Business Units, Departments and Oversea.

  • Support Sales in following up with shared functions i.e. Customer Service, TNM, OPS, Capacity

  • Back up Peers within Premier Sales Function

  • Systems updates, Data Maintenance & Entry, Report Generation

Who we are looking for

  • Form 5 or above; Tertiary education a key benefit

  • Minimum 1-2 years or above relevant shipping experience

  • Interpersonal relationship

  • Products (air & ocean & VAS) knowledge

  • Strong negotiation & communication skill

  • Systems knowledge

  • Expertise on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Entrepreneurial minded
