Job Description

The Role

The Regional Delivery Manager (RDM) oversees all vehicle delivery operations in their defined region.  This role works cross-functionally with the service, sales, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure that all vehicles are delivered in a timely manner, while also providing the highest level of customer service. The RDM manages the regional delivery team across multiple service centers and is responsible for setting and achieving delivery targets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all regional delivery operations, including but not limited to: inventory management, pipelines, appointment scheduling, logistics, staffing, salesmanship, and payment processing
  • Manage and mentor a team of full-time and part-time employees
  • Set individual and group performance targets
  • Recruit, interview, and train new team members
  • Monitor daily deliveries, create reports and update relevant systems to ensure accurate and timely delivery information is available to management
  • Work cross-functionally with service, sales, logistics, and manufacturing to continuously improve delivery processes and maximize efficiency
  • Maintain a constant focus on optimizing customer experience
  • Demonstrate fluency in registration, financing and insurance requirements and processes across various markets
  • Develop and coach local managers and team leaders to effectively manage delivery operations in each market
  • Monitor and review market performance in customer satisfaction, efficiency and inventory turnaround; working with local and regional team members to execute project to drive continuous improvement in all areas of daily operations
  • Assist, plan and execute in new market entry where necessary

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, plus 3-5 years of operations or management experience
  • Natural leadership quality with a focus on problem-solving and achieving results
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines
  • Numbers-driven, analytical mindset
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Technological fluency and ability to operate in business systems (experience using SalesForce a plus)
  • An upbeat, positive and professional attitude
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable and safe driving record

Tesla vehicles are produced at its factory in Fremont, California, and Gigafactory Shanghai. To achieve our goal of having the safest factories in the world, Tesla is taking a proactive approach to safety, requiring production employees to participate in a multi-day training program before ever setting foot on the factory floor. From there, Tesla continues to provide on-the-job training and track performance daily so that improvements can be made quickly. The result is that Tesla’s safety rate continues to improve while production ramps.

To create an entire sustainable energy ecosystem, Tesla also manufactures a unique set of energy solutions, PowerwallPowerpack and Solar Roof, enabling homeowners, businesses, and utilities to manage renewable energy generation, storage, and consumption.
