Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee event progress, milestones and contingencies
- Organize major events including planning, logistics, vendor sourcing, operational staffing etc (e.g. award, conference, dinner talk, golf event)
- Research and propose specifics including speakers, sponsors, venues, production and F&B etc
- Coach and motivate team members to deliver quality work
- Plan annual budgets for major events and department, with objectives to achieve profitability and cost efficiency
- Establish and maintain close relationships with various stakeholders
- Perform other administrative duties
Requirements
- Degree holder with at least 5 years’ solid experience in managing large-scale events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (with IELTS 7.0 or above)
- Computer literate in standard MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A good team player and able to motivate team members
- Ability to navigate complexity and resourcefulness when faced with challenges/ambiguity
- Exceptional organizational skills – highly methodical, accurate and deadline driven
- Highly motivated with strong initiative and multi-tasking ability
- Hardworking and able to work independently and long hours
- Immediate availability is preferred
