POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for assisting the Planning Manager and the Planning Team in the daily administration of office functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation of vendor purchase orders.
• Track purchase orders from order creation to warehouse delivery, and input all order changes.
• Generate weekly Inform common reports for distribution to entire merchandising team.
• Significant written and verbal vendor communication regarding specific order issues.
• Communicate with the divisions on shipping and stock issues.
• Maintain files, records and detailed departmental data using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Windows.
• Assist the team in general office administration.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous merchandising and/or planning experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (creation of macros, building of formulas, graphs, charts, linking), knowledge of Microsoft Word and database software helpful. Knowledge of query tools and DFS systems a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to a variety of organizational levels.
• Good at problem solving abilities and handling multiple priorities.
• Very detail oriented, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
• Strong numbers aptitude, able to compile and analyze statistics.
• Good organizational and analytical skills. High level of accuracy required.
