Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing advice, coordination, direction and control on the overall infrastructure, operational platform and resources for Alternative Investments business.
• Coordinate with various groups, internally and externally, to lead projects focused on enhancing the team’s operational infrastructure of back office and middle office including operations, information technology, finance, risk management, analytics, legal & compliance.
• Assist the Head of Alternative Investment to manage the budgeting process for the Alternative Investment Department
• Provide administrative support to a team of portfolio managers, traders and analysts
• Develop strong internal relationships to ensure efficient delivery of mandated projects
• Assist the Head of Alternative Investment to develop and implement policies and procedures, business plan and long term strategies of the business.
• Manage relationships with external service providers, including by not limited to prime brokers, ISDA counterparties, system vendors
• Lead due diligence review process by potential investors

Requirements

• Degree holder in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years in fund management experience in particular on building up the operational platform
• Background with overseas hedge funds, sell-side prop-trading desk; and experiences in quant strategy development and portfolio management is preferred
• Strong project management skills with solid experience in formulating budgets and negotiating contract terms with external vendors
• Strong communications skills, strong capability in presentation verbally and in writing
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
