Editorial Assistant shall manage and organise editorial matters concerning compilation of viction:ary publications and work with project coordinators and the editorial/design team throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will also be expected to perform as the focal point between external and internal parties on any in-house or client projects when needed.

Responsibilities:

* Research and analyze the current and global art/design scene for the production of viction:ary publications on graphic art and design
* Plan, write and edit content in English for viction:ary books; effective Chinese writing skills is a plus
* Liaise with local and overseas designers and writers to ensure viction:ary book projects can be completed to the highest possible standards on time
* Assist in engaging readers’ and designers’ interest in viction:ary books through social media and community platforms
* Assist and support editors and project coordinators when necessary

Requirements / Qualifications:

* Creative with a good sense and knowledge of art and design culture
* Degree holder with a minimum of 2 years editorial experience working in English media or publishing firms; practical experience in design or cultural industries is an advantage
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and process improvement skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills in both Chinese and English
* Self-motivated, responsible, able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
* Familiar with Mac applications
* Based in Hong Kong
