Hong Kong’s top floral and event designer with premium retail spaces in Central, Hong Kong is looking for an Accountant to join their creative and passionate team. Ellermann offers bespoke floral services and event planning with a personal touch. We adore our clients and work with many of Hong Kong’s VIP brands on a daily basis.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is hard working and can handle any issue with a smile! You will work closely with our Operations Manager, Owner & Creative Director as well as our team of florists and project executives.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: handling full set of accounts on daily basis and compiling the monthly books (P&L, Balance Sheet) within deadlines.
- Sales Administration: Ratifying cash and credit card sales, ensuring invoices are being sent to clients and are being paid in a timely manner.
- Providing and presenting all necessary reports (monthly P&L and Balance Sheet, budget vs. actual, cashflow management etc.) to the management on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with auditor for yearly audit and tax matters.
- Liaise with Banker regarding banking facilities matters.
- HR administration; payroll, MPF, insurance.
- Inventory management; Monthly stock movement.
Requirements:
- 8 years + experience in an Accounting based role within a retail environment.
- Strong analytical, planning and forecasting skills.
- Problem solving skills: taking initiative and providing solutions.
- Excellent communication abilities in English.
- Ability to set priorities in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Excel.
- Familiar with Peachtree or similar accounting software.
- Experience within the retail industry for inventory/stock management.
