The Credit Assistant, reporting to the Credit Manager, handles both the Credit and AR functions in the APAC region through establishment, implementation, and maintenance of customer’s accounts in the APAC region according to the standards of New Era Cap Co.

Responsibilities:

• Perform debt collection, maintain existing accounts aging according to Company standards
• Assist on setting up new accounts and any changes to existing account’s credit limits. Maintain all Company required documentation
• Perform orders hold/release according Company policy and business needs
• Allocate payments and credits, research short pays and non payments, address any unapplied payments
• Provide statement of accounts, pro-forma invoices and copies of credit memos/invoices as necessary or requested
• Keep all accounts information current in SAP as well as maintain documentation for any change of address, ownership or personnel changes. Maintain current contact information in SAP
• Handle China VAT invoices
• Handle inquiries from customers and internal parties
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Holder of High Diploma or above in Accounting or other related subject
• 2-3 years’ experience in Credit Control or AR, with China experience is an advantage
• Competence in MS Office and knowledge in SAP
• Good command of English and Chinese
• Organized, able to work under pressure, detail minded
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
