Job Description

Timex Group is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Vertime business unit. Reporting to the Senior Regional Sales Manager based in Hong Kong, he/she has responsibility for Southeast Asia. The position involves combining sales representative tasks with managerial responsibilities. As such, duties involve organizing, developing and supervising own territory distribution network (Retail, Wholesale and alternative channels), as well as making sure that yearly quantitative and qualitative targets are met.

Business development plays an important part in the job, which includes, among other activities, to conduct presentations to potential customers. A sound knowledge of our Brands, of the watch industry and competitors globally and locally, as well as all related commercial aspects (existing distribution, quality of distribution, local habits, payment terms, etc) is key.

The position also involves analyzing data and reporting. Other requirements for the job include excellent communication and motivational skills, the ability to lead the network, and an organized, problem-solving aptitude.

 

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Achieve annual Goals and Objectives, both in terms of quantity and quality
  • Contribute to the Regional Development (Retail, Wholesale, Alternative Markets)
  • Manage Distributor retention and implement new distribution (existing or new markets)
  • Competitor analysis
  • Comprehensive knowledge of our products and Brands
  • Training skills
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Monitoring risks and opportunities
  • Tracking and monitoring Invoicing/Shipping/Payment Terms
  • Full coordination and integration with Customer Service

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or related field (Business Administration, Management, Marketing)
  • 5-10 years experience in a sales role
  • Watch/luxury/fashion industry experience in the region is a plus
  • Fluent in Mandarin

 

Skills:

  • MS Office (specific proficiency in Excel)
  • Self-motivated and persistent
  • Sales and results oriented
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Ability to integrate and motivate an existing and well coordinated sales team
  • Ability to take over and develop existing and consolidated business relations with Distributors
  • Available for extensive travelling in the region
  • Competent and flexible
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
