Primary purpose:

To deliver efficient and effective IT services for pre/ post-sales implementation and support of clinical information systems in Hong Kong & around the Asia Pacific region. The Clinical Systems IT Specialist will lead new installation projects and will provide training and follow-up support to healthcare professionals while working closely with a closely integrated Project Team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide system implementation and post-implementation support to business users and clients;
• Project management and integration of support with Business, Technical & Clinical Teams;
• Monitor and assist the post-implementation activities (software training & support, on-site and remote) to ensure customer satisfaction;
• Provide 1st level support to Hong Kong customers and personal development through involvement in 2nd level support to the region;
• Maintain IT governance according to company standards;
• Provide support on system inventory and configuration management and any other related business requirement;
• Update clinical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks;
• Work closely with the Hong Kong team and Asia Pacific regional IT team, to facilitate pre-sales, deliver project implementation, clinical systems application training for healthcare professionals, as well as ongoing follow-up and support;
•  Regular visits to hospitals and dialysis clinics are required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Healthcare Science or equivalent is highly desirable;
• At least 3-5 years working experience;
• Experienced on both pre and post-sales support on system implementation;
• Excellent communication skills: ability to present IT solutions to non-IT stakeholders;
• Experience in organizing work process and IT project management, preferably with clinical solutions;
• IT experience in software development, support, testing, installation, data migration, training and configuration, preferably on Microsoft product environment;
• Windows SQL Server administration knowledge is mandatory;
• Knowledge on medical applications;
• Able to converse easily in a clinical setting (dialysis experience would be valued, but is not mandatory);
• Proficient in MS Office & Lotus Notes;
• Willingness to work in an international and multidisciplinary group;
• Overseas travel (both planned and unplanned) may be required;
• Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, e-mail, telephone, video conference, and presentations;
• Ability to observe and communicate in various cultural settings;
• Follow-up users’ requirements and facilitate group discussion;
• Seek to understand users’ needs, identifies issues, creates good practice, assures satisfaction;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and set priorities;
• Highly-motivated, independent, commercially adept, enthusiastic & persuasive;
• Sense of urgency for goal achievement;
• Able to prioritize demanding workloads, balance various activities simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
