Job Description

Requirements:

• Release management Experience
• 3-4 years solely on change
• At least 3-4 years change management experience which includes :
- driving for CAB / TAB meeting
- communication to working level to improve the quality of change request
- frequent communication to senior management on the progress of change improvement plan 
• Strong and demonstrated leadership skills
• Minimum 5 years IT Operational experience 
• Minimum 2 years in service management preferably within an ITIL function. Experience in implementing and managing Change Management process
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral), with experience interacting with all levels of management both within Company and Client organisations.
• ITIL Foundations v3 Certified or above
• Degree holder

Duties:

As a Change Manager, he or she needs to :
- Ensure that the Change Management process is being adhered to for a given Customer
- Ensure that the Change is coordinated through its lifecycle
- Manage the inter-dependencies of RFC’s
- Responsible for performing preliminary evaluation and clarification of the request, and ensure the Change is authorized based on the Service Level agreement.
- Verify the priority of a Change based on the impact and urgency set for the request
- Evaluate the RFC for completeness prior to Change Advisory Board (CAB) review. This includes validating that all documentation and information associated with the various phases of the Change are complete and 
available.
- Document and communicate CAB (and other review meeting such as Technical or Financial Advisory Board) agenda and subsequent minutes
- Responsible for convening and chairing Emergency CAB (E/CAB) reviews
- Ensure reviewed RFC records are completed with appropriate CAB authorization
- Review and evaluate all approved Changes before providing final approval for a given Change
- Produce and communicate the Forward Schedule of Change and the Projected Service Availability to impacted service groups.
- Manage high impact issues, dealing directly with the customers to manage concerns and handle any issues which cannot be handled by the Change Supervisor.
- Ensure Routine Changes are identified, documented and approved with the Customer
- Involved in the validation of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) checks.
- Participate in Configuration Management process review and evaluation
- Take corrective action or escalates process issues/improvement areas to the Account Process Lead
- Ensure Change Management process adheres to HP’s Policies, Process and Procedures
- With knowledge and experience on Release Management is an added bonus.

As a Release Manager, he or she needs to :
- Foster close interaction and working relationships with other HPE business areas to ensure the acceptance, support and compliance to the Release Management processes and standards.
- Provide the operational level escalation point for other HPE process owners, business units and customers when there are significant conflicts between interrelated processes or non-compliance to the Release Management framework
- Develop and maintain the Management processes, policies and procedures within the organisation.
- Review, assess and approve or reject Release Requests, in collaboration with the initiator and stakeholders.
- Evaluate risks to integrity of the business application and infrastructure inherent in proposed releases and seek authority for those activities. 
- Review all implemented releases to ensure key objectives and deliverables have been met.
- Manage the program of release units undertaken during maintenance weekends and the overall Release Schedule
- Convene and chair the Release forums or meetings.
- Define, monitor and report enterprise Release Management key performance indicators to HPE, highlighting improvements and non-compliance issues and take corrective action where required.
- Initiate and direct Release Implementation Reviews on failed Release(s) to identify opportunities for improvement and share learnings across the organisation.
- Identify improvements to and refine the Release Management processes and procedures in consultation with the Change Manager.
- Define and implement reusable, accurate and correct change and release templates, in collaboration with change and release stakeholders.
- Analyse release records and data to determine trends or apparent problems and seek to rectify with relevant parties.
- Provide training and support to HPE staff in the release management processes and procedures either through class-room based training or one-to-one support.
- Assist with the delivery of other Service Management team functions
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment with a strong customer focus.
- Provide professional leadership and development of staff in specialised area of expertise to promote a collaborative and productive team.

As an senior delivery member, he or she also required to manage and proactively drive delivery of ITIL functions according to specified contractual deliverables, SLA’s and metrics within assigned account/s. Closely work with client delivery teams (ADE and ADMS), Sales and account teams as the SM representative and delivery leader to drive client loyalty, Innovation & Growth. Support End-to-End delivery by effective integration with all delivery teams within the Account Team and within the regional capability teams.

Job Purpose: 

A Change Manager is responsible to set up and run ITIL based Change Management system. The Change Manager owns the day to day operation of the Change Management process for a customer. They are ultimately responsible for the end to end Change implementation, ensuring appropriate authorization is gained before a Change is deployed and ensure capability team adhere to Change process. He or she will need to meet or exceed the SLA target for the account, identify any governance issues, conduct process review and perform process improvement to ensure good quality of Change.


A Release Manager will need to understand what Release and Change Management process as they’ll be working very closely and will be a backfill for Change Management. This person will also need to have a broad understanding of other Service Management process as well i.e. Incident Management, Problem Management and Configuration Management as they’ll all feed into Release. This person will also need to be able to performance governance as per defined Release Framework and also to train, govern and report on Release Management process.

Working Hour: Mon to Fri 9am to 6 pm
