Job Summary: 

The Merchandise Analyst supports the Manager in all aspects of data collection and regional retail sell-through reporting to build strong assortments that drive sustainable profitable sales growth in the Asia Pacific region. In addition, the Analyst will closely study and document the competitive marketplace. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, team player to grow quickly in a fast-paced, multi-branded environment.

 Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs retail sell through analysis which includes sales and inventory analysis by region/brand and meets associated deadlines (monthly, quarterly, seasonally, annually)
• Creates, summarizes and publishes key account (territory) business reviews
• Creates and maintains visual representation of assortments by market and brand
• Compiles and analyzes competitive brands and products
• Visits marketplace
• Manages samples
• Supports Manager on special projects as needed
• Supports other administrative functions including scheduling meetings, creating reports, presentations, etc.

Job Specifications:

• BA or BS degree
• 2-4 years experience in product assortment planning, retail buying or planning
• Strong analytical and math skills required
• Strong Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Self starter, creative thinker and problem solver
• Must be detailed oriented, organized and flexible
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to communicate and build relationships across different departments & levels of the company
