Accounting & Finance shall manage financial, operational and project audit examinations of various businesses; independently and objectively identify and assess risks, evaluate adherence to controls and established policies, procedures and regulations, making recommendations for improvement. This includes administrative responsibilities, project budgets and overall discharge of financial responsibilities in a timely manner. Perform quality financial management in accordance with Group Standards and GAAP requirements; implement the Group's strategy in line with its development objectives.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Accounting & Finance Officer.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Work together with various departments in developing a systematic revenue, management costing and financial analysis
  • Participate in all aspects of accounting & finance functions and evaluate financial return from key areas
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting
  • Work closely with IT/Compliance/Project team
  • Ensure regulatory reporting guidelines are reviewed and updated in the group policy
  • Review daily reporting for daily liquidity maintenance ratio and local assets ratio
  • Review daily management reporting for P&L, mismatched ratio and currency position
  • Review financial disclosures for submission to regulators
  • Review accounting entries for responsible entities and monitor month-end close for reporting
  • Review audit financial statements, tax computation of Hong Kong & Group entities
  • Support tax computation, internal and external audit
  • Work closely with various departments for regulatory reporting
  • Work with external auditor in preparing annual audited financial statements and tax computation for Group entities
  • Ensure internal controls are in place, adhering to regulatory requirements
  • Prepare/review/update finance/control procedures as needed
  • Conduct regular meeting with senior management to share regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements
  • Take a proactive approach in participating and executing finance transformation
  • Manage and cross train finance staff for talent development and foster high performance
  • Participate in ad hoc projects

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting & Finance or similar
  • Certified Accountant with SFC reporting experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge with MS excel, MYOB ledger & sub-ledgers
  • Solid managerial skills, excellent communication skills in English, proactive and effective leader
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Demonstrates keen awareness of market trends and best practices, confident in stretching beyond comfort zone, incorporates multiple perspectives and broader picture in evaluating and solving problems.
  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of the business products and services, able to articulate business value of Accounting and Finance initiatives and make commercially sound judgment to advise the business accordingly.
  • Self-starting rather than passively accepting, continuously focuses on providing quality products, services and results.
  • Complies with prevailing requirement and procedures, follows through initiatives with attention to detail to achieve set targets and standards.
  • Less experienced individuals may be considered for the “Assistant Accounting & Finance Officer” position.
