Purpose and Objective of Position:

The Regional DFS Beauty School Training Manager is the key element in driving the vision of first class education and learning for all DFS beauty advisors in his/her respective market.
The role entails training all DFS beauty advisors in these markets in the onboarding/
introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels of the beauty school curriculum while preparing the top students for the International ITEC certification. The Beauty School trainer will additionally partner with the head of the School to develop additional courses to foster further advancement of our top beauty advisors and facilitate them in the respective market.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with head of the Beauty School, General Managers, Learning and Development Managers, on continuous development and recommended updates of global training content and facilitation methods
• Understand region specific training needs and provide feedback and recommendations to the Senior Manager on course adjustments most applicable to the region
• Ensure alignment on key learning objectives with global curriculum
• Support facilitation of specific learning opportunities for Chairman’s Club winners
• Train top talented Beauty Advisors and Make Up Artists in DFS to be key facilitators of the On-boarding program
• Ensure highest level of qualitative learning in the respective region
• Partner with stores on scheduling and training times

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Management, Business or equivalent is preferred
• ITEC or equivalent trainer certification
• 5+ years in beauty industry with training background
• Proficient in using MS tools, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• International travel up to 50% of the time required
• Global understanding of the beauty industry and beauty training with specific knowledge on the key markets
• Strong multidimensional leadership able to effectively lead the learning efforts in this market segment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to have a flexible schedule
• Ability to work independently and on weekends and outside of regular office hours, if required
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English and preferably one additional language
