• Main duties and responsibilities

   

  • Prepare Purchase/Sales Contracts: negotiate the contractual terms with traders and customers if necessary

  • Handle L/C applications, manage full set of I/E shipping documents as per L/C terms or document instructions for negotiation purposes

  • Appoint inspection agency for cargo inspection at loadport and disport

  • Help to educate the new customers of the industry to navigate the process of L/C application and negotiation

  • Handle all the enquiries and complaints from customers related to contract execution and provide workable solutions to customers

  • Update vessel status and loading/discharging progress, and update reports related to contract administration, outstanding demurrage/despatch and balance payments

  • Handle balance payments/demurrage/despatch settlement with customers/suppliers as per sales/purchase contracts

  • Coordinate with regional offices in Singapore, China, and India

     

  Education / experience / technical skills required

   

  • At least 6-8 years’ experience in a similar role within a trading house

  • Knowledge of Coal industry from a trade operations perspective

  • Able to handle responsibility and be accountable for his/her actions

  • Able to assess situations and be proactive

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Positive attitude and demonstrated team spirit

  • English, Mandarin and Cantonese language skills
