Kids4Kids is a Hong Kong based non-profit organization developed to inspire young people in Hong Kong to take action and make a positive social impact.  

‘My Story Creation’ Primary School Programme is a 2x2 hours creative writing and illustration workshop targeting all primary aged students from schools and community centres throughout Hong Kong. In the workshops, participants develop skills to write and illustrate their own creative stories.

We are currently seeking energetic individuals with the ability to teach and manage medium sized groups of (approx. 25) young local Hong Kong children from low-income families.

Writing/ Illustration Instructor

The ideal candidate would have:

• A dynamic personality and great creative energy
• Superior verbal communication skills/ visual arts knowledge
• Fluency in Cantonese and English is a must
• Experience of teaching language/ creative writing/ visual arts is a must
• Previous experience of conducting creative workshops is a plus

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Broadens students’ minds and open their horizons to a different way of thinking and creating
• Teaches creative writing skills to young learners in a fun and engaging way
• Gives workshops a dynamic, animated feel
• Provides memorable experiences for students
• Participates in in-house training to align teaching methodology with Kids4Kids guidelines
• Works closely with Kids4Kids staff as needed
• Gives regular feedbacks about the workshops 

Salary: HKD$350-485 per hour (depending on experience)

Public travelling expenses incurred when travelling to the designated workshops will be reimbursed.

Availability: After-school time (Weekday)/ Saturday between September 2016 and February 2017
