本會自1947年成立至今，一直以推動、普及、發展游泳運動及精英培訓為宗旨，藉以不斷提高香港游泳水平及競賽技術。本會亦是中國香港游泳總會的駐池泳會之一亦屬最高級別。
The Association has been established since 1947, aim to promote, popularize, and develop swimming, and elite training, to continuously raise the swimming level and competition skills of Hong Kong. The
Association is one of the venue-based clubs with the highest rank under Hong Kong China Swimming Association.
