You will carry out duties in one of the following areas: (a) maintenance, inspection, fault diagnosis and emergency repair activities for power supply equipment in the operating railway, including high voltage and overhead line systems and trackside auxiliary equipment; or (b) overhaul maintenance, condition-based monitoring, installation, modification, testing & commissioning of overhead line equipment in the operating railway or at interface with new lines; or (c) system modification, testing & commissioning and asset renewals / refurbishments for high voltage and traction power supply systems, including waste water treatment plants; or (d) high or low voltage power supply protection and testing systems including stray current control and monitoring system maintenance and modifications. Shift duties and working under adverse weather and emergency situations are required. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills with salary adjustment via the Skills Progression Scheme.

You should have a Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or a Grade "A" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker, with at least 2 years’ post-apprenticeship work experience. Qualifications such as Grade "B" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker and possession of a valid Hong Kong driving license class 1 and 2 are advantages.
