Job Description

Job Purpose

Manage the regional Change Team aligned with business requirements.

Review, understand and document business processes with a view to ensuring all solutions are aligned with our business strategy, goals and objectives, including the effective application of technology to business problems and opportunities. 

Work closely with the various Business Units across the Group to capture business system objectives, evaluate the business case and define system requirements.  Work closely with regional counterparts, the wider IT & Change teams and also any third party providers used across the Group, to assist with the detailed design, testing and implementation phases of development and maintenance projects.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Help manage the Change, Business Analyst and Software Development teams to ensure delivery of key business requirements across the Group in line with business strategy.
  • Help define the business problem or the opportunity and contribute to the development of the business case.
  • Help define and document detailed business requirements.
  • Ensure proposed software developments / solutions meet business requirements.
  • Review and help develop NAV Reports in conjunction with Development Team.
  • Represent the various business units on the project development team to ensure solutions will meet business and system needs.
  • Help plan and develop the test strategy, risk analysis and test plan in conjunction with other stakeholders.
  • Help run the user acceptance test, ensuring the functional and business requirements are met.
  • Provide training and post implementation support to all affected areas.
  • Deal with queries and support system users on a daily basis.
  • Act as a change business partner / key relationship lead with various business units across the Group and help drive change through to a successful completion.
  • Maintain relevant documentation.
  • Fully support the business strategy.
  •  Provide support and show leadership values to other members of the team and the wider Group business
  •  Fully support and work within the corporate Project Governance framework
  • Strive to standardise and introduce economies of repetition / repeatable processes.
  •  Always represent the team in a professional manner.
  •  Ensure compliance with company standards, policies and procedures

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Demonstrable experience within Business Analyst team / Change Management within the Financial Services sector.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a team across multiple disciplines and locations.
  • Strong analytical reasoning ability.
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment and assertiveness across multiple business units / functions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills with ability to conduct presentations to large groups.
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in operating under a formal methodology such as PRINCE2, ISEB / ISTQB, etc.
  • Full appreciation of how IT systems are used to support business processes would be advantageous.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics / Touchstone NAV platform would be advantageous
  • Exceptionally strong organisational skills with a structured, methodical and pragmatic approach
