Qualifications

1. Tertiary education with relevant university degree / diploma an advantage
2. Appropriate recognized professional qualification such as ICAO standard license, e.g. a valid HKAR-66 AML or its equivalent, endorsed with appropriate aircraft and engine type ratings preferred
3. Proven satisfactory experience of aircraft maintenance experience of at least 3 years
4. Minimum 1 year’s relevant work experience in conducting training course in aviation industry e.g. HKAR-66 basic module training
5. Relevant quality assurance experience an advantage
6. Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; fluent Mandarin an advantage
7. A good team player with excellent communication, people management and facilitation skills with the ability to drive changes and achieve continuous business improvement
8. Proactive, customer focused and business minded
9. Driving license with airport operations experience an advantage

Responsibilities

Quality & Safety Engineer (QSE), directly reporting to the Manager Quality & Safety (MQS), is responsible for:-

• Composing and conducting company training/ continuation training for all technical staff to meet company needs and in compliance with relevant national aviation authorities requirement.
• Liaising with HKCAD and other national aviation authorities for matters relating to approval course application
• Liaising with LM for the needs of training and organizing training courses to fulfill LM operations.
• Sourcing of external training service providers and organizing training cost-effectively.
• Ensuring course examinations and results are processed to training records files / database.
• Ensuring airworthiness standards and approvals requirement on training and/or examination are maintained up-to-date.
• Collecting up-to-date airworthiness information/ requirement for revising company manuals to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Reviewing quality audits and ensuring observed non-compliance or sub-standards have sufficient procedures/reference to follow.
• Performing surveillance on the company, its facilities or other agent facilities to ensure that company and regulatory standards are maintained.
• Maintaining company records to meet national aviation authorities’ requirement
• Ensuring the upkeep of current manuals and technical literature; and the issuance of technical circulars and distribution of technical data.
• Deputizing for the Manager Quality and Safety in his/her absence.
