Job Description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall management of floor team and lead the team to deliver consistently quality food and service to customers
  • Identify and investigate problems encountered in daily operations, find solutions and make recommendations to the top management to ensure the smoothness of operations
  • Manage the monthly reports of the forecast of revenues and expenses, sales analysis, budget and stocks control
  • Motivate and coach floor staffs on Italian wines, food and beverage to enhance staffs’ knowledge and upgrade service standard
  • Build up recognition and relation with customers
  • Work closely with Chef de Cuisine for the menu design and food and beverage planning
  • Assist in development of operation system, upgrading customer services and taking corrective actions in restaurant performance
  • Design the wine list and beverage menu, organize and execute the wine/beverage tastings, events and promotions with Italian suppliers and producers
  • Gather marketing and support from regional and local Italian government and Italian food consortiums for Italian promotions
  • Search and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers for wines and food import from Italy

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ working experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in leading Italian restaurants, of which at least 3 years are at managerial level
  • Proven experience and extensive knowledge in Italian wines, food and beverages, cuisine and culture
  • Excellent communication skill in both English and Italian, speaking one or two other European languages would be an asset
  • Honesty, enthusiastic, strong leadership and interpersonal skill with suppliers, customers and team members
  • Good planning, marketing and promotional skills with ability of strategic analysis to maximize profitability and business development
