Main objectives:

Oversee the communications and marketing team of FoE (HK) and develop the communications strategy for more effective ways to change public attitude on the environment.

Main responsibilities of the post:

• Develop and oversee the organizational communication and marketing strategy for FoE (HK)
• Work with China and Hong Kong operation team to develop effective strategy promotion in accordance with the organizational communication and marketing strategy.
• Cultivate relationships with the media, identify potential PR threats and provide advice to the management and governors concerning relevant external messaging.
• Develop a style guide for FoE (HK) and oversee the editing of content including newsletters, website, publicity material, press releases, etc.
• Respond to media enquiries and requests as needed, in collaboration with the FoE (HK) management and governors.  Provide strategy and develop consistent messaging to media enquiries for relevant FoE (HK) management and staff.
• Assist the Fundraising Manager to develop and implement strategies to enhance the relationships with members and supporters.
• Develop and manage the media report database of the organization

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related disciplines with at least 5 years of working experience.
• Media or agency experience in Hong Kong and China.
• Outstanding personal and public communication skills.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Candidates with less experience or academic qualifications may be considered as Communications and Marketing officer.
