Redress is a pioneering HK-based NGO working to promote environmental sustainability in the fashion industry. Through our dynamic programmes we work directly with the next generation of fashion designers, industry professionals and consumers in order to reduce textile waste, minimise water and energy consumption and ultimately create a new circular economy for fashion. 

CREATIVE EXECUTIVE - JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dynamic design driven team member to play a key role in the evolution of Redress’ creative identity. Reporting to the Events Director and PR and Marketing Manager, this position would suit a self-motivated, highly creative person enthusiastic about helping Redress enhance brand presence and the impact of our work through stunning, consistent visuals. We are looking for a candidate who is organised, resourceful and passionate about the environment and sustainable fashion, and wants to influence positive change.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creation of all visual content including:

  • Development of creative concept for key visual promotional materials and design direction for each Redress Design Award competition cycle

  • Development of educational and promotional videos inclusive of storyboarding, content and messaging development; management of the videographer and editing process 

  • Develop and project manage the annual the Redress Design Award magazine 

  • Creation of in-house artwork, and design of educational materials 

  • Visual assets for Redress’ social media platforms, which include Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and Weibo

• Manage and develop our websites including Traditional and Simplified Chinese website versions 

• Support the wider team with design and layouts for ad-hoc events including our consumer campaigns, and the development of brochures, sponsorship decks and presentations 

• Coordination of freelancers for photography, design, videography, acting also as in-house photographer/videographer when needed

• Manage technical aspects of the Redress Design Award online application system 

• Build and distribute our 6-weekly newsletter 

• Provide ad-hoc support for copywriting and translations between English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese including proof-reading  

• Assist in ad-hoc duties as assigned, including media scanning, and clipping management, general office tech support, event support where needed

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Undergraduate university degree (e.g. B.A. or equivalent - degree holder)   

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in similar role either in-house or agency (experience in fashion preferred but not essential) .

• Visa to live and work in Hong Kong (please note that candidates without a Hong Kong visa will only be considered under exceptional circumstances).

REQUIRED SKILLS & DESIRED PROFILE:

• High-energy, positive individual who takes initiative.

• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

• The ability to help support communication activities around influencing objectives and different target audiences

• Resourceful, creative thinker with the ability to ‘see the big picture’

• Willing to accept a high workload at certain times of the year

• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and web design experience a must. Experience in social media platforms advantageous

• Experience in the production of new media assets including banners, animations and the creation of video

• Experience of designing for website and mobile devices

• A passion for environmental sustainability and fashion
