Our Client

Our Client is well established Organization with multiple international school under their umbrella. Currently, they are in the process of establishing an International School with Boarding Services in Guangzhou. And they are looking for a Procurement Manager to join them. The Procurement Manager will work hand in hand with the Operations Director.

The Role

The Procurement Manager manages all procurement functions for the school within approved budgets and according to procurement policies and procedures. He/she owns the entire procurement process, including forms, reports, analyses and any other tool necessary to accurately ensure leadership makes the right purchasing decision.

• Plan and manage all RFPs during pre-opening stage of the school and work with multiple departments to ensure smooth Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) process.
• Manage the annual bulk order requirements to ensure all CAPEX and OPEX items are procured within budget and delivered accordingly, prior to the start of every school year.
• Oversee day to day procurement requests to ensure the timely processing of orders within approved budgets.
• Work closely with the school community to ensure proper requirements are provided for each purchase request.
• Research and identify new suppliers and products/services to meet the school's ever-changing needs.
• Establish and update an approved suppliers list by pre-qualifying suppliers in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Negotiate optimum agreements and commercial rates, terms and conditions to achieve annual savings from approved budget.
• Efficiently manage contract administration and keep detailed records. 
• Ensure Purchase Orders and supporting documents are accurate and in accordance with policies and procedures to achieve audit compliance.
• Manage the goods-receivable process and ensure GRNs are properly recorded and signed off, as well as working closely with Finance to ensure all documentation are aligned with school's expectations and policies.
• Any other duties as may be delegated by the DOO.

 To Qualify

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in a multi-national environment
• Overseas working experience preferred
• Experience within an education start-up environment, including premium hotel and/or health institution, would be advantageous
• High proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin for negotiation/communication with vendors.
