Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

• Providing secretarial support to the Librarian;
• Supporting the Librarian in office administration;
• Coordinating and liaising matters, on behalf of the Librarian, with internal and external parties at various levels;
• Providing clerical and logistic support to operations of the Library; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Librarian or his/her nominees.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: 

• At least 5 subjects with Level 2 or above in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics, preferably with a recognized degree in relevant fields;
• Good command of English and Chinese (preferably in Putonghua as well) and computer skills;
• Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently; and
• Relevant office administration experience. Candidates with academic library work experience will be advantageous.

Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
