Job Description

The position will assist the Director of Group HR and OD in improving the total employee experience, and enhancing talent acquisition & development and organizational development of the Company.  He/she will work independently with regional HR and business leaders and country team heads to understand the needs of the businesses from a talent, leadership, and organizational development perspectives, and come up with viable solutions.  He/she will be responsible for reinforcing the communications and collaborations with different business stakeholders so that they can improve the recruitment, retention, development efficiency; building and enhancing the communications between the company and employees (staff and workers), and developing and delivering effective training, talent plans and development opportunities to the employees. He/she will act as HRBP to provide advice on people and organizational development to respective departments and work closely with them to facilitate their business growth. He/she will also lead and deliver communication strategies, and plans, and develop respective contents so that the employees clearly understand the company’s VMV, direction, and culture, and what is expected of them. Eventually, the employees will feel connected, involved, empowered, supported, and then engaged.

As a senior HR member, he/she needs to support HR/TM members (Group and Local), and ensure the planned programs and projects are delivered in high quality and timely. He/she needs to develop best practices in HR, training, and people & talent development and bring them to other sites for alignment and local implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of recruitment, training, talent management, leadership development, and organizational development projects and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation on talent/OD/training/recruitment/employee engagement best practices.
  • Market those people initiatives to different business stakeholders and work with HR & line managers to plan and deliver those initiatives.
  • Plan, deliver and drive people initiatives independently, and interact with & influence stakeholders at all levels, and backgrounds to provide them with people solutions for building and grooming their teams.
  • Create effective training strategies and establish programs/allied mechanisms to identify and nurture growth of leaders for the future, and engage with the group and local management in the implementation of the people development roadmap for all levels.
  • Adopt an analytical, process improvement mindset and use data and technologies to manage, measure and improve the impact. 
  • Manage budget, contract negotiation, and vendors to ensure high impact, value-added delivery.
  • Work along with all HR colleagues and lead the project team(s) for different people initiatives across countries. 
  • Bring in the best practices and strategic insights from different organizations (including HR process improvement, data-driven culture, digital transformation) and share them with the teams for continuous improvement.
  • Develop effective and innovative communications approaches/materials so that all levels of employees can embrace with company’s messages, believe in those philosophies, and behave accordingly. 
  • Support management in their communications with employees through different channels of communications.
  • Work with local HR or Corp Communications to develop communications initiatives/plans; propose and organize employee engagement campaigns and events. 
  • Support any business conferences, corporate events/projects, and cross-function team and ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Regular contact with business leaders to identify key development needs across different functions and sites.
  • Inspire, motivate and influence the business partners (GMs, Regional and Local HRs/ T&Ds) to persuade for the most effective recruitment, training, people, and talent development, employee engagement solutions; and identify the talents.
  • Provide advice and guidance to develop the team and facilitate the local teams to drive results.
  • Consult with the related stakeholders on people-led initiatives.

 Requirements:

  • University degree holder in Business, Language (English). Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related disciplines
  • At least 5-10 years of working experience, preferably in HR, Training, Communications, or Marketing role
  • Experience in international and multi-cultural environments preferred
  • More experience would be considered for the Senior Manager role
  • Able to manage senior leaders
  • Strong business mindset and acumen, strategic thinking
  • Forward and strategic thinking, data analytical
  • Good project management skills, able to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Good organizational skill
  • A quick learner with a positive can-do attitude, with the intellectual curiosity to learn about various aspects of the business of the Company
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Able to think creatively and strategically, and work independently
  • Proactive team player and insightful team leader, and able to work under pressure with impeccable attention to detail
  • Confident and presentable
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Working proficiency in Chinese (both Cantonese & Mandarin)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Skills on RPA, PowerBI, Graphic Design and Video Editing Software is advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
  • Occasional business travel whenever necessary
