Role Objective

• Be a strategic partner to drive the growth of the English and Humanities Department; 
• Manage teaching materials to ensure the team follows international tests and syllabus development;
• Facilitate smooth communication between the team and other departments within a multicultural environment.

Job Responsibilities

Teaching roles:

• Deliver student-centered, high-quality teaching to students according to educational needs and abilities based on lesson plans and syllabi;

Non-teaching roles:

• Monitor the development of teaching materials
• Keep abreast of relevant changes to syllabus and standardized tests, and ensure teachers stay up-to-date with the most effective approaches to teaching students;
• Communicate between management and teachers in order to ensure all classroom policies and goals are met;
• Monitor the teaching quality of subordinates by leading regular teacher training, including but not limited to lesson observation and personalized performance evaluation leading to teacher self-efficacy.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or above in English, Education, Linguistics or equivalent from a top tier university;
• Minimum 7 years of teaching experience with at least 3 years of experience in managerial level within department / school ;
• Sound knowledge and credentials in international tests and syllabi such as IB/IGCSE/SAT/SSAT;
• Commitment to student learning and well-being;
• Strong leadership skills with enthusiasm to motivate the team and encourage teamwork;
• Positive can-do approach to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
