Systems Analyst / Analyst Programmer (Ref: 22000QI) 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

• Designing, developing, testing and deploying new systems;
• Administering, maintaining and enhancing existing systems;
• Enhancing multimedia components and implementing interactive activities/ components for courses;
• Supervising web designers and coordinating multimedia courseware production;
• Providing technical support to end users; and
• Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Advancement of Learning and Teaching and his/her nominees.        

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A recognized bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
• At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in programming and web systems design.  Those with less experience may be considered for the post of Analyst Programmer;
• Solid experience in web application development with Lotus Script, Node.js, PHP, JSP/Servlet and EJB;
• In-depth knowledge of markup languages and scripting languages such as Javascript, JQuery, CSS3, HTML5 and JSON;
• Hands-on experience in mobile application development using Appcelerator Titanium, Objective-C, Unity and Drupal / front-end library like JQuery and Bootstrap;
• Knowledge in constraint satisfaction solver (e.g., OptaPlanner) and Drools rule engine is an advantage; and
• A good command of English.             

Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
