Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to business units including contract drafting and review (such as NDA, supply and distribution agreements, manufacturing agreements, licensing agreements, and general commercial agreements), dispute resolutions, corporate governance policy drafting, and general legal advice on the overall business and operational matters
• Trademark and patent management, and work closely with the R&D team for the IP and/or patent, licensing or trademark related issues
• Coordinate with colleagues from overseas offices and local and overseas lawyers, and report to Group management on strategy and progress on overseas-originated litigation
• Handle dispute resolutions and maintain involvement with both internal parties (product, QA and Accounts) and external parties (insurer and external counsel)
• Advise on and facilitate compliance with applicable international and local laws, rules and regulations such as data privacy, export limitation, sanctions law and product safety regulations
• Participate in management meetings and present regular and ad hoc matter reports

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with at least 8 years post-qualification experience 
• Extensive experience in commercial law, litigation, listing compliance, and intellectual property gained in multinational corporate environment and/or listed company
• Strong legal and analytical skill with good business sense and able to work in a team
• Supervise internal and external lawyer(s) and paralegals (US and HK)
• Proactive, responsive and communicative
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and drafting skills
