To cope with the development of the University, Finance and Facilities Management Office will be relocated to Ngau Tau Kok in October 2022.

Assistant Director of Finance (System Support & Development) (Ref.: 22001GB)

Major Duties and Responsibilities 
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Facilities Management, the appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing financial system, and developing roadmaps and strategies for process improvement and automation of finance operation;
• Assessing and determining the adequate data retrieval methodologies in order to respond to various reporting requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
• Overseeing the integrity of access, data and system interfaces;
• Working with finance / business leaders to define business and financial requirements and system goals, and identifying and resolving system issues;
• Providing a timely response to system-related interruptions of critical business processes or critical interfaces (e.g. to banks); and
• Developing long-term plans for the incorporation of emerging technologies and financial system functionalities not currently used by the University to improve operational efficiency.

Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A recognized degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Business Information System, or related discipline;
• Minimum 8 years' financial / accounting system experience with hands-on solid experience in system support, development and implementation;
• Knowledge and experience in supporting Oracle Finance is an advantage,
• Strong leadership, analytical mindset, problem solving skills, and the willingness to drive changes for continuous improvement in a complex environment;
• Proven ability in working effectively with various stakeholders; and
• Service-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills both in English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).
