What you’ll do and what success looks like in this role

• Maintain capital planning and management framework, methodology, policies and procedures.
• Support in performing short term and/or long-term projection and related capital plan and balance sheet strategy to balance between risks and returns
• Support ALCO and other committees and monitor capital related ratios, analyze trends and variances.
• Lead ICAAP process relating to capital planning & management and different kinds of stress testing on capital.
• Support implementation of evolving regulatory requirement on capital including Basel Reform.
• Drive Bank’s Balance Sheet strategy by zooming into customers level data including behavioral analysis, unit economics, lifetime cohort analysis to look for opportunity via optimizing balance sheet structure and pricing decision.
• Participate in financial analysis of the Bank Balance Sheet, Treasury, and profitability area to support both BAU and projects.
• Assist in ad hoc sensitivity and scenario analysis, and corporate finance projects to support the team and senior management.

What is required and what we’re looking for

• Degree holder in Finance or Accounting, or a qualified accountant (candidate with qualifications of HKICPA, ACCA, FRM, CFA or ECF - TM would be an advantage).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in balance sheet and capital management in banking, candidate with more experience will be considered for senior manager position.
• Good understanding of Banking (Capital) Rules, SPMs and Basel requirements.
• Strong data analytical mindset. Knowledge of data mining programming.
• Knowledge of stress testing and treasury operation would be an advantage.
• Good command of written & spoken English and Cantonese.
