My client is looking for a Linux / Hybrid Cloud Senior System Specialist to join the networking team of this FS Group. Initially as a contract role, that can be perm. Focusing on the full breadth of network and Linux enhancements and new hybrid cloud development.

This is an opportunity to build upon your existing Infrastructure knowledge. While, gaining further In-house FS exposure working for a group that is comprised of 8 reputable financial institutions.

With 1.4+ million members, they service familiar HK brands like MTR, HK Gov, Local Banks, large Holding Groups, HK MNCs etc. for their MPF & Pensions.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid cloud design and setup
• Install, configure, maintain and upgrade Linux systems
• Maintain a reliable environment to provide IT services to customers and users
• Hardware / Software / Operation system upgrade and system programming on Linux environments
• Network design and configuration for LAN / WAN environments to ensure performance and adequate security controls are in place
• Enhance operation process with automations and ensure daily operation completes on time
• Set up real time monitoring mechanism to detect failure at the earliest point in time
• Apply patches and hardening the Linux systems to meet security and compliance requirements
• Handle incident, troubleshoot and recover software and hardware failure
• Prepare report of any incident with preventive solution and provide quality technical solutions to development team
• Act as security control advisor, asset owner & custodian based on our information security framework

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in computer related discipline
• Minimum 8 years’ working experience in network operation and Linux administration
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of administration on different Linux platforms (LPI Level 1 or equivalent certification is preferred)
• Familiar with BASH and Python scripting
• Knowledge of networking practices including routing, subnet, TCP/IP, and VLAN (CCNA or equivalent certification is preferred)
• Strong network knowledge on the design and setup of hybrid cloud environment
• Experience on Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD operations
• Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (“RPA”) technologies
• Knowledge of client-server, n-tier, Java/.Net and cloud architectures
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• High awareness on the development of IT technology trend
• Good communication (both verbal and written communication) and negotiation skills
