Social Worker (Ref no.: ASWO - OTEM)

(Working Locations: Districts in Hong Kong Island, the Outlying Islands and Kwun Tong)

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement and evaluate services for ethnic minority families;

• Prepare service reports and compile statistics;

• Render outreach services, provide on-the-spot interventions and conduct service referrals in Hong Kong Island, the Outlying Islands and Kwun Tong districts;

• Render casework, group activities and programs;

• Collaborate with mainstream social welfare agencies and local stakeholders on service provision;

• Shift duty is required, including Saturdays, Sundays and evenings.

Requirements:

• Registered Social Worker;

• Degree or above in Social Work or equivalent;

• Level 2 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in HKCEE/HKDSE or equivalent;

• Preferably with relevant experience in ethnic minority services, family services, casework or outreach settings;

• Fluency in English and able to communicate in Chinese is an advantage;

• Ability to communicate in a minority language such as Urdu, Hindi or Nepali is preferred.
