Product Compliance Specialist (childrenswear)

Overview

A leading North American retailer specializing in apparel for babies and young children is seeking a Product Safety & Testing Specialist. This role offers meaningful work, continuous learning, and a collaborative environment guided by values of inclusion and innovation.

A typical day will include the following:-

1. Product Risk Assessment
   - Manage product risk assessment processes and evaluate garment factory performance with QA support.
   - Support safety failure analysis and integrate inspection system data into risk evaluations.
   - Maintain vendor and factory testing performance statistics to identify training needs.
   - Deliver product risk levels and implement monitoring processes

2. Product Testing Compliance & Process Enhancement
   - Provide technical testing support to vendors including fabric mills, trims suppliers, and garment factories.
   - Collaborate cross-functionally to clarify testing requirements and support lab accreditation/component testing programs.
   - Coordinate with third-party labs to ensure cost-effective technical support, manage retest requests, and support research projects.

To succeed in this role, you will have:-

- Higher Diploma or above in Apparel, Textile Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in QA, product safety, or lab testing in the garment industry; experience in kidswear is a plus.

- Strong understanding of safety and testing requirements across US, EU, and China markets.
