Responsibilities

• Factory sign off for Quality Management Systems and Product Safety Systems
• New Supplier Induction and system training for suppliers
• Screening of Tech packs prior to sampling and briefing to supplier
• Sample screening – all sample types
• Pre-production / Risk Analysis reviews
• First off the line product reviews
• System training for suppliers (as appropriate – submission procedures)
• Upgrading of Suppliers – monitor progress on improvements
• Distribute approved technical submissions to garment makers
• Review and approve bulk submissions for performance, color and hand feel

Requirements

• Technical qualification in fashion accessories, preferably to a degree level
• At least 8 years working experience in a related field for UK/European market
• Knowledge of product safety requirements is a plus
• Computer skills – Familiar with MS office and internet is required
• Excellent communication skills in English are required, and a good level of both written and spoken Putonghua considered advantageous
• Ideally an audit qualification (ISO 9000 / SA 8000 / ISO 14000) would be a plus
• Knowledge of quality systems also advantage
