Royal Robbins LLC was founded in 1968 by Royal and Liz Robbins, a husband and wife entrepreneurial team dedicated to perpetuate their passion for the outdoors. Together they created the Royal Robbins brand of clothing to inspire others with like-minded desires for adventure and personal excellence. Royal and Liz are still admired and respected in the outdoor community for their pioneering rock climbing ascents in North America and Europe. He is respected in many circles as the “Father of American Rock Climbing” having lead the transformation from hammers and pitons to clean climbing techniques that would preserve the sport of rock climbing for generations to follow. Later, Royal also became famous for his first kayak descents of various whitewater rivers in North and South America. Royal and Liz’s spirit of adventure and excellence continues in the company today as a bedrock of our heritage.Here are a few more details of the company.
